Have you ever watched the waves crash on the rocks during a storm. The wind pounds them relentlessly and there is nothing that can be done about it. Sometimes life can seem like that when everything seems to come barreling at you all at once. During these times it feels like there is nothing to do but hold on and go along for the ride.

During the last 2 weeks I have felt like this. I have felt like everything was ganging up on me all at the same time. I had many difficult decisions to make, people demanding my time and energy. And I felt like I was spiraling out of control. Now I know in my heart that God had my back but my mind was telling me something different. My mind was telling me that I had to do everything myself. Or rather it was Satan telling me this. Satan loves moments when I feel overwhelmed. He wants me to feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

When I feel like this it is amazing what God will use to help turn things around. On my way home the last 2 weeks almost every song on the Christian radio station was telling me that God is with me. A line from one particular song has been playing over and over in my head. The song is by Sidewalk Prophets–“Help me find it” and the line says “If I need to be still, give me peace for the moment.” How amazing is that!! God can give us peace one moment at a time. All we need to do is ask and He will give it to us. I have finally came to the end of the tunnel and am so thankful that God has been there for me the whole time.

We all go thru life with hectic schedules, people demanding things from us and many other issues that might pop up. Sometimes we are so overwhelmed that we can not see the light at the end of the tunnel but it is there. God wants us to lean on Him because He is the light at the end of the tunnel and can give us the peace that we so desperately need.

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 (NTL)

I love how The Lord repeatedly gives us a song or a word just when we need it to confirm His love in our hearts!
