This is a testimony shared by Jeff Ackerly

Pigeon symbol of Christ My very real connection with the Holy Spirit

On a snowy Sunday morning two years ago, a few of us gathered for our 8:00 worship at our church. As Episcopalians, we practice the receiving of communion at the entrance to the altar. As there were only a few of us gathered due to the snowstorm, the minister invited us to the alter table and asked us to join hands as he prepared the bread and wine. As if from above, a cylinder of energy and overwhelming love descended and enveloped us as we prepared to receive communion. The power was at first frightening but became a comforting presence with an unmistaken sense that this was indeed the holy spirit as described in the Bible.

My wife and I spoke of this visitation all week and the following weekend one of the other celebrants who was with us told us of her experience that day. We all confirmed that it was the holy spirit and we were blessed to have been visited in such a powerful way.

If I ever had any doubt before of the constant presence of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, it was dashed away that day. Praise the Lord!
