During my hours sewing I like to feed my spirit and frequently listen to the audio Bible or sermon podcasts. This morning I was listening to I Chronicles 5.
they cried out to God during the battle, and
He answered their prayer because they trusted in Him
How amazing to think that it is in the discipline of trust that God works! If we will just have a heart that believes.
At times I find myself giving way to fear or thinking that God is not going to open up the doors of opportunity that He has laid on my heart. I have found Him challenging me to pray with faith. When my heart is weary and I feel I can’t believe I begin to pray Lord I don’t see the way but I know that you do. I know you will bring your work to pass. It isn’t that I have given myself more faith but in the act of giving it to Him He gives the faith that I didn’t have.
With this Scripture I turn it into a prayer as well.
Lord, I know that you fought the battle for the Israelites and I believe that you will do the same for me as I trust you.
