What is the Sabbath rest as found in Hebrews 4? I feel that my heart is continually searching for a resting place. The cares of life and responsibilities are always pressing in on me. I want to trust God, to be free from worry but sometimes it seems like an impossibility.
I have found that as I press into Him, telling Him that I truly do long to be an oasis of peacefulness for my family and those around me, He does a great work in my heart. He cultivates my heart to trust Him, to simply rest in who He is, dependant on Him for moment by moment. And so this poem was born.
