He speaks through us!

This morning I was reading Matthew 10. Verses 19 and 20 grabbed my attention.

but when they arrest you do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of you Father speaking through you. (NIV)

I don’t have the fear of being arrested like Jesus’ disciples that he was addressing at that time but in my everyday interactions I often wonder what to say and if I am a good testimony. Sometimes perhaps I even keep my mouth shut when I should have it open speaking truth to people. But He tells us not to worry about what to say because He will give us the words to say! What hope!

Lord, forgive me for the times I haven’t spoken out when I should. Thank you for the promise that You will speak through me. I trust You to speak Your words through my mouth in my daily interactions. Amen
