Worship is Who We Are

Yesterday while I was driving a familiar song played on the radio, yet the lyrics sunk in deep this time. From the song Live Like That I pondered the words …

Was my worship more than just a song?

Truly what is worship? Frequently I have reflected on this question, only now am I beginning to realize that worship cannot be confined to a definition or an action. Worship should be who we are. With our hearts continually bent towards the Savior, in fellowship with Him. Throughout the day in our workplaces as we serve those around us, as we treat them as He would, as we extend grace, the light of His love in us can shine on those around us. Worship is living continually in the Spirit, not giving in to negativity, having Him be the constant focus of our hearts so that we might be lost in Him as we die and He lives in us.
