Change is a blessing.
Psalm 103:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Have you ever gotten mad at God for blessing you? By opening a new door and giving you something better?
This morning I realize I get mad at God all the time for these beautiful blessings because when He first opens the door all I can see is, CHANGE.
It is usually at the end of the blessing I say, Thank you, Lord.
That is NOT how I want to be.
I want to be grateful from the start. I want to see the new door, the new path as the blessing it is. A continuing adventure with the LOVE of my Life, God.
If I really want to be with HIM on a daily basis, I have to go where He leads. I can’t trudge down a new path until I decide it is a blessing and not a punishment.
Recently 90% of my responsibility at work was taken away. I’ve done nothing wrong, but at first all I saw was punishment from my bosses’ boss. In reality, God made this change.
God opened this door. He has something so much better for me and I know it.
Every time God has brought CHANGE, I have only been blessed with spiritual growth and earthly promotion. (That is, once I’ve stopped pouting and whining about how unfair it is.)
This recent change at my place of employment, blesses me to move forward with schooling I have been wanting to do for two years. This is God’s nudge for me to finally move ahead.
Financially this CHANGE will hurt, but I see even this as an opportunity to grow. To be more responsible with the money God sees fit to bless me with.
I ask for prayers in the financial part of this situation. Not because I don’t trust God, but because we are supposed to pray for each other. Because praying for each other grows us up as well as blesses the person we pray for.
I have come a long way from where I was. I have gone from cringing at even the thought of change to accepting entire lifestyle change.
