Hebrew 11:1 tells us “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Before Joshua knew these words, he knew Father God or El Shaddai “might in sufficiency.”
Over and over again in Joshua’s life he could see provision and sufficiency miraculously bestowed when needed. So why not be bold in faith. If aught off guard by this kind of tenacity, then we need to learn God’s unchangeable power. We all know He is the same yesterday, today and forever so let’s not camp around the river of “these things don’t happen today.”
Joshua was convinced that the daylight need to be extended so the battle could be won for Israel, so he prayed, not for something for himself, but that God would get the glory by this victory.
Joshua 10:12 “O Sun, stand still over Gibeon, O Moon, over the Valley of Aijalon,”
Then we read, “So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies.”
In the 21t century Father God wants us to be as bold and tenacious in our faith, believing He is still El Shaddai.
Don’t doubt His power for today, but rather embrace it.
God can still produce substance out of things unseen so just expect it. Share on XThe church needs to hear those power testimonies! Check out some of the recent testimonies we’ve shared: A psychologist who miraculously came to Christ through reading the Bible and a homeschool mom who experienced divine guidance to begin a new career.
Love you and be a blessing, Brother Walt.
