Rationalization

Rationalization steals our confidence and blocks our peace. However, it does allow you to get your way. Disobedience is a result of rationalization. We go in circles about whether or not something is God’s will when we already know the truth. When we allow self to rise up, it starts by rationalizing. Soon all the confidence we had in Christ is a ball of confusion. Instead of confessing our disobedience, we rationalize every situation until the only answer left is the one that glorifies self the most. 

Questions to ask ourselves begin with

• How does this glorify God?
• How does this glorify self?

Some questions must first be asked before we can actually see the truth. Before we can begin to regain our confidence in Christ back and all His peace to flow over us. Each battle depends on our obedience to God.
