This morning the devil smacked me with a wave of insecurity. I responded and floored him with prayer. I don’t have to FEEL beautiful to KNOW that I am. God’s word tells me, I am the apple of his eye (Psalm 17:8). No man can tell me enough how beautiful I am and no man can make me feel beautiful enough. That is God’s gift to me. God tells me what I’m worth so I don’t have to accept how I FEEL about myself. Someone once told me you can be fat or act fat. I’m changing that to you can be beautiful or act beautiful. Drop the act, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. So be beautiful, by throwing your FEELINGS out the door and be beautiful because YOU ARE.
The circumstances of my life and the environment I grew up in made me a "fixer". When I surrendered that burden that was never mind to carry, God made me a prayer warrior.
