The Desire for Constant Communion

Walt and I were deeply blessed by the April 1 reading in Jesus Calling. Author Sarah Young wrote to our heart about the desire that we sense to be in constant communion with Him. So often the cares of this life seem to drag us away. He longs for us to come to Him for everything….every decision….every interruption – to fix our gaze on Him, surrendering our to-do list for His guidance moment by moment.

I am calling you to a life of constant communion with Me. Basic training includes learning to live above your circumstances, even while interacting on that cluttered plane of life. You yearn for a simplified lifestyle, so that your communication with Me can be uninterrupted. But I challenge you to relinquish the fantasy of an uncluttered world. Accept each day as it comes, and find Me in the midst of it all. ~ Jesus Calling April 1

Lord, Help us to focus our gaze on You every moment of the day, drawing our daily strength from You as our Source and Supply. Calm our hearts to remain unruffled when plans are interrupted. The desire of our hearts is to draw close to You all day long. Amen
