Just yesterday a friend gave me some of her writings and told me to feel free to share. These are such a blessing!
Love Letters to And From God
Call On Jesus by Rosemary Keener
Good Morning Father! This morning as I’ve been reading your Holy Word, I thought on the words, the promises, the appointed seasons in our lives. How each one came to pass, exactly as you said they would. Then I thought on those we are still waiting on. I thought on Noah and how you told him to build an ark, and he obeyed, even though there had never been rain before on the earth. All the things that you do are for a plan and a purpose, even though many times we don’t understand them. Our part is to obey and trust you in the midst. I think of Noah, how he was ridiculed all those years, but he kept on building and said “it’s going to rain.” At the appointed time, the rain came the fountains of the earth were broken up and the earth was flooded. But there was also a times for the water to recede and for the dry land to appear. As I thought on this, I thought on Jesus, He sent His disciples, to the other side of the sea (Matthew 14:22-32). The boat was out in the sea, beaten and tossed by the waves, and Jesus came walking on the sea. He knew where they were! Can I tell you, Beloved one, Jesus knows where you are, He may have even sent you there. The disciples were frightened, terrified, thinking they were seeing a ghost. But Jesus spoke to them and said “take courage! I AM! Stop being afraid!” Can I say to you the great I AM is in your midst! Jesus hasn’t left you nor has He forsaken you. Peter said “Lord if it is you command me to come to you on the water.” Jesus response “COME”. Beloved one Jesus wants you to COME to Him. He is the one who calms the seas! He is the one who Created the seas. He sees you, He knows right where you are, not only physically, but spiritually, and He longs to help you! Invite Him to Come into your situation. He is the very Prince of Peace, let Him speak peace into your situation. I know you’ve probably heard it a million times, but it is truth, “JESUS LOVES YOU!” He love you so much that He would rather die than live without you. When Jesus got in the boat, the wind ceased. Sometimes I think we take the Lord for granted. He desires to be invited in, and when we call upon Him, He hears us, and in I John 5:14 & 15 that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to and hears us, and if we know that He listens to us, we also know that we have the requests made of Him. Paul and Silas praised and worshiped the Lord in “their storm”, and an earthquake came and loosed everyone’s chains (Acts 16:25&26) . So I believe the Lord is saying to you, my friend, just as He is to me, “Call on Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you know not.” AMEN!
