Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was laying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you. I say to you arise, take up your bed and go to your house.” Mark 2:3-5 NKJ
It is a good idea to have friends that believe God still heals and forgives sin. Friends who believe what Ps 103:2 and James 5:15 teach are indeed powerful stretcher bearers. This takes importune prayer; prayer that is persistent in pressing into God’s bosom; prayer that has so much assurance that if need be the shingles on the roof would be dismantled so that a need could be brought before Jesus.
Let’s face it, no one would put a hole in the roof to lower a request down to Jesus unless they were totally positive that He had the power to forgive and heal. And so importantly, have the will to grant these things. Live in possession of His promises.
You can be that stretcher bearer for someone in need! Perhaps you are alone; standing at the corner of the stretcher and need three others to help support the urgent request.
Christian Resource Ministry is here for you. We can be stretcher bearers with you. Just let us know and Walt, Tony and Naomi would love to help you dismantle a few shingles, and together we shall “bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my (our) mouth.” (Ps 34:1)
Love you and I know you are a blessing
