As I have been learning to pray Scripture I have also been asking the Lord to give me Biblical prayers to pray for my children and with my children. This will be a continuing list that I will be adding to from time to time.

  •  The Love of God: My prayer is that deep in their hearts they would know the love of God for their lifetime, that their hearts would be open, drawn close to Him and feel His love surround them. I desire that they know not just the doctrine of God’s love, but His love alive within them.

Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever, separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NLT)

  • Grow in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and men. In The Circle Maker, Mark Batterson shares how he began praying this over his children, even though it is not a direct promise of the Bible, it is a description of Jesus as a child.

Luke 2:52 Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. (NLT)
