Dear Ones
One of the most beloved portions of Scripture is the 23rd Psalm. Even as a child in Sunday school we were challenged to memorize it. We may have even been promised a gold star for our effort.
This Psalm says much to us about a loving God and His desire to meet all our needs. Thankfully no one can take that away from us, though they may try.
Some Christians are mentally and spiritually confined to wait for all of God’s provisions in the “sweet by and by” and discount this present day as the “age of the silent heavens.”
I’m so glad that God’s Word does not teach this. Just look at this beautiful Psalm and read all the promises that are for today
- I will not want
- Rest and restoration
- Guidance
- Protection through hard times
- Peace of mind
- Presence and assurance of God’s delivering power
- Provision and supply
- Overflowing grace and blessings
- Goodness and love
All these wonderful blessings are promised to us “all the days of our life” NOW!
Oh yes, one great thing for the future. “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Love you and be a blessing
